Tehachapi, California – Snow and 45 mph wind gusts are creating slick, low-visibility conditions across Kern County’s mountain passes early Friday, threatening the morning commute before 7 a.m.
According to the National Weather Service in Hanford, a Winter Storm Warning remains in effect until 7 a.m. Friday for the Tehachapi area, Frazier Mountain Communities, Piute Walker Basin and the Grapevine. Additional snowfall of up to 3 inches is possible in Tehachapi and Frazier Park, while the Grapevine could see up to 1 inch. Winds may gust as high as 45 mph in exposed areas…
