Birmingham arson task force uses new tools to solve cases, protect public

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) – Birmingham Fire & Rescue says their multiagency arson task force is helping investigators determine the cause of fires more quickly and hold those responsible accountable.

A massive fire Halloween 2025 on Cobb Lane in Five Points South was ruled arson after investigators worked with partner agencies early in the investigation.
