SARASOTA — As a handful of parents and community members gathered to protest outside North Port High after school let out Friday, Sarasota County Schools officials are devising a policy to ban students from doing the same thing.
Separately, a directive has come from the Florida Department of Education, that has publicly condemned teacher unions who support student walkouts, announcing bills that could make it harder for them to form.
