CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — Thursday night the Salvation Army honored someone they call a local champion and we call a NewsChannel 9 legend: Marcia Kling.
Some viewers might remember Kling from her time on NewsChannel 9’s airwaves, where she dedicated 50 years of her life to sharing stories.
She has served on The Salvation Army Advisory Board and spent 36 years coordinating Thanksgiving meal deliveries for seniors who would otherwise go without.
Kling briefly stepped away from the camera while she battled a rare form of cancer, but came back with her selfless spirit in helping others.
Marcia retired from NewsChannel 9 in 2013…
