Steve Harvey Gets a Master Class in Dating from “Family Feud” Contestant

Even a seasoned romantic like “Family Feud” host Steve Harvey can learn a thing or two, especially when it comes to dating. And who better to dispense crucial advice than a contestant with a flair for storytelling? Amrett, a recent participant, left Harvey thoroughly impressed – and even earned a fist bump – not for a winning answer, but for his unique take on the dating game.

The memorable exchange unfolded during a round between the Johnsons and the Whittle family. After the initial face-off, which saw Chet of the Johnsons successfully buzz in with “Ring” for the survey question, “What might a guy give his girlfriend that she’d say, ‘My ex gave me a better one?'” the game moved forward.

Doran’s attempt with “Some lingerie” unfortunately led to a strike for his team. Then came Amrett, who, when asked by Harvey about his “go-to place” for a date, delivered a response that cracked up the room: “You know, Steve, I really didn’t need a go-to place. I was the plate.”

Harvey, clearly amused, pressed for more details. “Oh, you were the plate?

You were the whole dish?” he chuckled, adding, “Yeah, I’m the blueberry special.”

Amrett then elaborated on a particularly memorable dating activity. “One thing I did that was cool was we have horses, and sometimes I’ll bring a girl to my house, we go horseback riding, and then we’d go to this place where they fry some chicken and stuff,” he shared.

This was exactly the kind of practical wisdom Harvey was seeking. “See, that’s what I’m asking you.

Now, what was the name of that chicken place?” he inquired.

“The Stallion Market,” Amrett revealed.

Harvey quickly did the math, jokingly calculating the date’s cost: “Go horseback ridin’, then we go to the Stallion Market, get some fried chicken. That whole day you ain’t spend but $10.”

Amrett, playing along, added, “Then you meet a stallion,” which earned him that coveted fist bump from the host.

Despite Amrett’s memorable advice, his answer didn’t make it onto the board, and the Johnson family quickly racked up two strikes. It was up to Jay to save the round, and thankfully, his answer of “Kiss” kept them in the game. However, Troy’s subsequent answer, “Shoes,” struck them out, giving the Whittle family a chance to steal.

The Whittle family’s leader, Scott, then delivered a “bold and controversial” answer that reportedly stunned Harvey, coming from a “little family from Alabama.” Nevertheless, the answer proved to be a winner, securing the steal and the round for the Whittle family.
