GRU and Gainesville leaders to honor transactional agreements, regardless of control

GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) – Gainesville and GRU leaders are agreeing to honor the utility’s financial agreements no matter who ends up in control.

On Thursday, city leaders agreed to honor contracts, loans, bonds and other transactions with GRU’s financial partners, even if judges decide to give back control of the utility to the city.
