Unleashed dogs attack 2 dogwalkers, 8 pets near Hoboken ShopRite

Two dog walkers and one dog suffered injuries when three unleashed dogs exited a vehicle and attacked them Wednesday in the parking lot of a Shoprite supermarket in Hoboken. Hoboken police said it happened around 1 p.m. Officers responded to the parking lot after getting reports of a dog attack. When they arrived, they learned that three unleashed dogs had exited a vehicle and attacked two dog walkers, each handling four dogs on leashes. “As a result of the attack, one dog suffered injuries and has since undergone surgery. Additionally, both dog walkers suffered sprained wrists while trying to control the leashed animals,” Hoboken police said in a statement.
