UPDATE (10:30 a.m.): Mobile Police say the crash has been cleared and the passenger train is moving again. A passenger on board says they’ll continue their trips to Pascagoula and other stops west of Mobile.
UPDATE (8:48 a.m.): A news release from an MPD spokesperson states two people inside the vehicle that was hit by an Amtrak train have died. No word on the identity of the victims or whether more people were inside the vehicle at the time of the accident.
