Weldon Boyd took the stand on the third day of the stand-your-ground court hearing on Thursday, Feb. 19.
Boyd’s account of the sequence of guns being drawn included what he described as ‘a matrix-move’ by the deceased Scott Spivey. Boyd said he saw Spivey exit his truck and face their vehicle with a gun in his right hand and began firing at Boyd and co-defendant Kenneth Williams, who was in the passenger seat.
