Reader question: Can you remind everyone of Appleton’s leash laws? I don’t think they are being followed.
Answer: Appleton’s municipal code, section 3-15, says the owner or caretaker of any animal that is not on their premises shall have the animal restrained by a leash not more than 8 feet in length.
In other words, if your dog or cat or rabbit leaves your yard, it must be on a leash and in the control of a responsible person…
