Snowfall makes return visit to KMAland

(Valley) — KMAland residents received an important message Thursday afternoon and evening–winter isn’t over.

Heavy snowfall was reported in a narrow band stretching across eastern Nebraska and western Iowa. Clint Aegerter is meteorologist with the National Weather Service’s Valley, Nebraska office. Aegeter recapped the storm totals from across the region for KMA News.

“It was a pretty narrow band that had the heaviest snowfall,” said Aegerter, “stretching from Lincoln to Omaha, anywhere from 6-to-8 inches. There are a couple localized reports of 9 inches near Bennington, Nebraska. Over into Iowa, it was maybe a little bit less–especially down into the Shenandoah area. We’re still waiting on some reports to come in, but we have some reports of 2-to-4 down in there. Then, you go over to Atlantic, Iowa, where we had 5.3 inches.”…
