Corpus Christi, Texas – Any spark could turn into a fast-moving wildfire within minutes Saturday as humidity drops as low as 10 percent and north winds gust to 30 mph across South and South Central Texas.
According to the National Weather Service in Corpus Christi and Austin/San Antonio, Red Flag Warnings are in effect from late Saturday morning through 9 p.m. for a wide stretch of the state. In Brush Country and the northern Coastal Plains, including La Salle, McMullen, Live Oak, Bee, Goliad, Webb, Duval and Jim Wells counties, the warning runs from noon to 9 p.m. Farther north and west, including San Antonio, Austin, New Braunfels, Kerrville and Del Rio, the warning begins at 10 a.m. and continues until 9 p.m…
