BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — The Department of the Air Force is preparing an Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) to evaluate moving an F-16 squadron to Gowen Field.
The proposal is to move the 124th Fighter Wing from the A-10C Thunderbolt II to the F-16 Fighting Falcon. The transition could require improvements and construction to the facilities in order to support the new jets, something the EIS will explore in greater detail…
