The Meridian City Council voted to update its municipal code to clarify standards for measuring the height of residential structures in residential and traditional neighborhood-zoned areas.
“We can be more restrictive in the zoning ordinance. The [planning and zoning] staff’s first attempt at doing that is making it clear that in the measurement section when we measure residential building heights, we’re going from the average grade from the front of the property line, to the very top of the roofline.
