(NewsNation) — A forensic researcher who took part in a fresh examination of Kurt Cobain’s 1994 death says Seattle police flatly refused to reconsider the official conclusion that the Nirvana frontman died by suicide.
“We had about an hour meeting with them, and we went in with the best intentions,” Michelle Wilkins told “Jesse Weber Live” on Thursday. “They said, ‘We’re not even going to look at your evidence. We stand by our earlier assessment.’”
Wilkins coordinated the new study of Cobain’s death with a panel of private experts across the globe, and the paper they published concludes that Cobain may have been murdered before his killer staged the scene to appear like a suicide.

Specifically, they say physical evidence, including lack of blood spatter on Cobain’s arm and the high level of heroin in his system, doesn’t support the idea that the musician injected himself before firing a shotgun to his head…
