KAPOLEI, Hawaii (Island News) — The 19-year-old man who was arrested for allegedly shooting two visitors at the Kapolei Shopping Center on Sunday night received multiple criminal charges on Friday.

The 19-year-old suspect, Keanu Wallace, who was arrested after two men were shot at the Kapolei Shopping Center on Sunday, Feb. 15, 2026, was charged with first-degree attempted murder, two counts of second-degree attempted murder, two counts of use of a firearm in the commission of a separate felony, place to keep firearm and prohibited firearm. His bail was set at $1 million.

On Sunday, around 9:05 p.m., police officers responded to a shooting in front of Taco Bell at the Kapolei Shopping Center, located on Farrington Highway. Police said two men visiting from the mainland rented a gray 2022 Ford Explorer and were sitting in the parking lot, when a masked man walked up to the car with a handgun and started shooting at them.
Both men were hit by gunfire before the suspect ran away. First responders said the driver, who is 40 years old, was taken to the hospital in critical condition and the passenger, who is 42, was taken in stable condition…
