North Greenbush Police Allege Kidnapping Involving Gun, Knife, Bear Spray

A terrifying situation unfolded in Rensselaer County this week, but thankfully, everyone is safe.

North Greenbush Police say a 30-year-old man was arrested Tuesday following what they describe as a violent domestic incident involving weapons, threats, and children inside a home on Main Avenue.

Officers report that they were first dispatched on February 17th after receiving a 911 hang-up call. When they arrived, they found signs of a struggle inside the residence, but no one was home. Police later located the female victim in Troy, where she reported that an argument with Eric Gordon escalated into violence.

Held Gun to Her Head

According to investigators, Gordon allegedly threatened the victim with a knife, physically assaulted her, and then retrieved a gun, which he reportedly held to her head and discharged. Authorities say the gun contained a blank round…
