Three Arrested After Carjacked Vehicle Found On Belair Road

Yesterday, a traffic stop along Belair Road ended with three young men in handcuffs after Baltimore police spotted a carjacked vehicle and moved in. Officers arrested two 19-year-old men and an 18-year-old man after the trio tried to run from the scene, authorities said.

Police Account of the Stop

According to Baltimore Police, officers spotted the carjacked vehicle on Belair Road on Friday and attempted a traffic stop, at which point three people inside tried to flee. They did not get far. The department’s social media post states that two 19-year-old males and one 18-year-old male were taken into custody at the scene. The post also urges anyone who sees a crime in progress to call 911.

Similar Arrests Along the Same Stretch

Earlier this winter, the same corridor saw another carjacking case involving younger suspects. As reported in coverage by Hoodline of a daytime carjacking near Belair Road and Erdman Avenue, three juveniles were arrested in late January after officers located a stolen vehicle in that area. That earlier case involved juvenile suspects who were processed through the juvenile justice system, per the report.
