Heads up! Our meteorologists are tracking a nor’easter that could bring heavy snow (we’re talking 18″+), and strong gusty winds (we’re talking 60mph) Sunday into Monday.
We’ve started the weekend with a few lingering snow showers and flurries around Greater Boston as an area of low pressure tracks away from New England. A few flurries could even develop this evening here and there as a trough swings by. Otherwise, we’ll see a lot of clouds on this Saturday. High temperatures will be in the mid 30s. Highs will remain in the mid 30s on Sunday under mostly cloudy skies.
Tracking and timing the nor’easter
Then, our attention turns to an impactful nor’easter that moves toward our area Sunday evening into Monday.
The storm will move north from the Carolinas by Sunday, giving way to periods of heavy snow and gusty winds, starting late Sunday evening through much of the day on Monday. The worst of the storm will likely happen Monday morning.
