Pedestrian killed in early morning crash

MIFFLIN TOWNSHIP, Ohio — A pedestrian died after they were struck by a car in Mifflin Township early Saturday. According to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, the pedestrian was walking south in the middle of state route three just south of Alwine Rd. when they were hit by a Toyota Camry. The Camry left the scene, but the driver returned a short time later claiming they believed they hit a deer.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead on the scene at 5:45 a.m. The driver was not hurt. The crash remains under investigation…
