The business manager of Susquenita School District told the board Feb. 10 that expenses were at about 47 percent for the year while the district was about 58 percent of the way through the fiscal year, noting the district typically lags by about a month because of end-of-year accruals. Jason Brouse said the district was “controlling our spending.”
On the revenue side, Brouse said the district had received about 70 percent of its revenue and was usually around 75 percent at that point in the year. Some state revenue was forthcoming, but he described the state as doing a good job catching up from its budget.
