Measles exposure alert in Montebello and LAX
The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health confirmed a measles case with possible exposures in Montebello and at LAX between Feb 9–13. People who were at these places during that time should watch for symptoms for 7–21 days after possible contact.
Symptoms include fever over 101°, cough, runny nose, red eyes, and a rash that starts on the face and spreads. The MMR vaccine offers the best protection.
