Ghost gun arrest leads to 11-year sentence for N.J. man

A Newark man who fled from police, was caught with a ghost gun, and then tried to orchestrate a cover-up from inside a detention center has been sentenced to more than 11 years in federal prison.

Kaiyir Green, 23, was sentenced Thursday in Trenton, nearly two years after Elizabeth police caught him trying to enter a stolen red BMW M3.

When officers approached, Green ran, leading police on a foot chase through several residential yards before being tackled and arrested, according to court records…
