I think it’s great that we have the new Walmart opening at State Road 44 and Morse Boulevard.
However, the decision not to put in a multimodal path for golf cart access is only another poor decision made by the current developer that shows their continuing lack of concern for the residents. I know they could have negotiated the path into the development if they cared about the residents, this is what the residents do. Drive their golf carts everywhere they go. It’s just sad.
For all of the good that has been done over the years to make The Villages, “the place to live in retirement”, it’s obvious that sentiment is no longer the priority. Very disappointing especially when you add this to the fact that they no longer build the houses in the south with the options they have had such as blinds, ceiling fans, etc…
