CRANSTON-Officers from the Cranston Police Department, Traffic Unit, are actively investigating a car-pedestrian crash that sent a pedestrian to the hospital with critical injuries.
According to a release from the department, at approximately 7:55 p.m. on Friday, Cranston Police responded to a report of a pedestrian struck on Garfield Avenue between Texas Roadhouse and Route 10 South.
Upon arrival, officers located an adult male pedestrian lying on the side of the roadway with a serious head laceration. He was alert and conscious at the scene. Cranston Rescue transported the individual to Rhode Island Hospital for treatment.
