Volunteer event to remove French broom in Marin City
The Marin County FIRE Foundry is hosting a volunteer event on Saturday, March 14, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM in Marin City. Volunteers will help remove the invasive plant French broom in the Marin City Fuel Reduction Zone, built in 2023 to lower fire risk for the community.
Participants will also learn about wildfire readiness and local vegetation management projects. Registration is required and closes at 3 PM on March 12.
