A Warm Saturday, then Temperatures Nose-dive again

SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) – Patchy areas of fog are possible early Saturday. Dew points are in the 60s, giving us higher humidity compared to Sunday. Another cold front is approaching Saturday, moving through the Suncoast Sunday.

Our best chance of rain is Sunday morning, but the rain will be light. Rain totals of 0.10” to 0.25”, or less in some areas, will be common. Winds pick up Sunday, starting out of the West at 10-15 mph the morning, gusting out of the Northwest winds of 20-25 mph Sunday afternoon. The strong winds will continue Monday, bringing in much colder air again.

Coldest Mornings Tuesday and Wednesday

Monday and Tuesday are First Alert Weather Days. Once again it is the cold conditions. Monday’s high temps will be 20° below average. By Tuesday Morning we will see temps drop to 39° near the coast, with low 30s inland, possibly near freezing well east of I-75. Wind chills will dip to the 20s and 30s Tuesday and Wednesday mornings. It’s time to bring in the outdoor plants and give pets a place inside next week.

Outdoor Sports Forecast Saturday

Saturday starts with dew at the Tennis, Pickleball, and Golf courts and courses. Patchy fog is possible early in the morning. Winds are lighter Saturday, out of the South at 5-10 mph. Saturday is the outdoor day with scattered showers coming Sunday.
