Following the expansion to the FM dial in Buffalo, Audacy’s is adding WGR programming to WROC/W239BF Rochester (950/95.7). Currently identifying as “95.7 The Fan,” WROC will be rebranded as “WGR Rochester” beginning at 11pm on Sunday, Feb. 22.
Earlier this week, WGR (550) add an FM simulcast on the former country “107.7/104.7 The Wolf” WLKK/W284AP in Buffalo and now the bulk of the station’s daytime lineup will be carried on WROC, along with a dedicated local show for Rochester listeners.
“The Jeremy and Joe Show” will kick off mornings 6-10am, followed by “The Northtown Automotive Extra Point Show” with Sal Cappaccio from 10am-12pm. Fans will then get a full hour of Sabres updates, followed by Gene Battaglia taking the reins at 1pm with “The Sports Bar,” a locally focused program dedicated to Rochester sports. “Schopp and Bulldog” rounds out the day in afternoons (3-7pm)…
