A late-night stop at a southeast Houston gas station turned deadly Friday when a man was shot and killed in the parking lot of a Valero convenience store, according to police. The gunfire broke out around 10 p.m. at the intersection of MLK Boulevard and Southlea Street, and the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
