CLINTON, Miss. (WJTV) – Some residents, who rely on water from the City of Clinton, may currently be without it.
According to city leaders, the cutoff affected customers who did not transfer payments to Clinton’s new billing platform in November 2025. They said beginning in October 2025, customers were notified through their monthly water bill that the city would be transitioning to a new water billing system.

Those primarily impacted are residents who used auto draft under the old billing system. If they did not start paying their bill through the new system late last year, they have not paid any water bills for the last few months. As a result, these residents have likely had their water cut off.
According to the city, in order to start bill payments under the new billing system, residents will need a new customer identification number and account number. To get this information, leaders advised residents now without water who previously used auto draft to do the following:
