LUBBOCK, Texas — Lubbock Animal Services (LAS) have released their metrics for the week of Friday, February 13 through Thursday, February 19.
LAS reported that they received a total of 1,118 phone calls, with 914 calls going to the front desk and 204 going to their field services line. LAS responded to 33 aggressive animal calls and 22 animal welfare calls during the week.
There was 77 total adoptions, with 63 dogs, 11 cats, one pig, one rooster and one turtle all being adopted. LAS reported they took in 139 animals for the week, leaving the current dog population at 205.
