ROCKWALL, Texas – Rockwall police took a man into custody Friday afternoon after he fired a shotgun in a parking lot, prompting nearby schools to be placed in secure status as a precaution.
On February 20, 2026, just after 12:00 p.m., the Rockwall Police Department responded to a disturbance call in the 1300 block of Ridge Road.
Investigators determined the male suspect became emotionally disturbed following an argument with his spouse and fired a single shot from a shotgun in the parking lot.
