SA man charged with intoxication manslaughter after fatal motorcycle crash on south side, police say

SAN ANTONIO — A man has been charged in connection with a deadly motorcycle crash on the city’s south side last week, according to San Antonio police.

Police said 53-year-old Michael Garcia was taken into custody following the crash that happened around 10:30 p.m. on Thursday at the intersection of South Flores Street and Congress Avenue.

Investigators said the victim, identified as 33-year-old Glenn Cabatbat, was riding his motorcycle when Garcia suddenly made a left-hand turn, cutting him off and colliding with the bike. Cabatbat was killed instantly, according to investigators…
