‘Alarming’: Oregon lawmakers react to possible cuts to cameras that monitor wildfires

PORTLAND, Ore. — Researchers at the University of Oregon are warning that the risk of wildfires are going up, but they are seeing less investment in cameras that monitor wildfires.

Unless the Oregon Hazards Lab at the University of Oregon receives state funding soon, dozens of cameras could be taken offline, the director of the lab said.
