BJ’s Wholesale Club shoplifting suspect pepper sprays store before fleeing in Woodbridge

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, Va. (DC News Now) — A suspect in a shoplifting incident at a BJ’s Wholesale Club reportedly sprayed pepper spray before leaving in a vehicle in Prince William County.

The incident occurred at the BJ’s Wholesale Club at 14123 Noblewood Plaza on Friday. Officers responded to investigate a shoplifting incident. Before leaving the store, the suspect sprayed pepper spray and left in a vehicle.

Multiple people had symptoms from the exposure to the pepper spray; Prince William County Fire and Rescue were on scene and assisted those who had been exposed and helped air out the building.

The BJ’s is back open now and police continue to work on locating and identifying the suspect…
