Family seeks answers after wrong-way I-26 crash kills two and injures two.

A South Carolina family is pleading for answers after a wrong-way crash on Interstate 26 in North Charleston left two people dead and two others injured.

The head-on collision occurred Feb. 2 when a male driver entered I-26 traveling in the wrong direction, police said. The crash killed Tiheshaca Green and Nicholas Smith. Green’s husband, Virgle Green, and their daughter, Arya, were also in the vehicle and survived with serious injuries.

Virgle Green recalled seeing the vehicle approaching in their lane moments before impact. He said he warned his wife that the other car was in the same lane, and seconds later the vehicles collided head-on.

Survivors Recovering From Serious Injuries

Virgle Green said he suffered a broken right leg and fractured toes, while his daughter sustained spinal injuries and internal bleeding. Both continue to recover as the family copes with the sudden loss…
