LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. — A multi-vehicle crash shut down both directions of Route 283 near the Salunga exit on Saturday night, according to officials.
Hempfield Fire Department crews were dispatched to the area between Spooky Nook Road and State Road around 10:30 p.m. Saturday. The highway was closed in both the eastbound and westbound lanes for several hours.
A PennDOT spokesperson said four vehicles were involved in the crash. One person was confirmed dead. Additional details about the victim have not been released…
