An independent assessment recommended that MATA stabilize its service before pursuing any expansion projects. Young said that means reducing headways and having buses arrive on time to restore riders’ confidence and increase ridership.
Bus riders said the service is not yet where it needs to be. They often wait one to two hours past a scheduled arrival time for their bus.
