Jacob’s Ladder Outreach raises money for tiny home community to house homeless in Louisville

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – A group of advocates for the homeless came together to raise money on Saturday as Jacob’s Ladder Outreach hosted its Road Block fundraising event.

Volunteers were at the intersection of Brownsboro Road and Chamberlain gathering money for Eden Village of Louisville, a planned permanent tiny home community for those who don’t have their own houses.

“We can’t do a whole lot when folks are on the street,” said Jacob’s Ladder President and Founder Mylantha Williams. “We can provide all kinds of resources, talk to them about therapy. But when you don’t feel safe, you don’t have a place to lock yourself in, and start working on that stuff, it means nothing.”…
