If you’re flying out of Syracuse airport, here’s what just changed with parking and pickups

Syracuse, N.Y. – The overflow parking lot at Syracuse Hancock International Airport closed Friday in preparation for construction of a new rental car facility.

Located to the north of the airport parking garage, the overflow lot is used when the airport’s other open parking lots are full.

The Syracuse Regional Airport Authority plans to begin construction in mid-to-late March on a consolidated rental car facility on the site of the overflow parking lot. Construction will take 14 months.

Where to park

The authority has created a new parking area on Air Cargo Road to offset the closure of the overflow lot. The new lot is farther from the passenger terminal but is served by a free, 24-hour airport shuttle service…
