ALLENTOWN, PA – The Allentown Police Department announced Friday that all charges against Sgt. Evan Weaver have been officially withdrawn following a review by the Pennsylvania Office of the Attorney General.
Chief of Police Charles Roca confirmed the development in a statement, expressing appreciation to the Attorney General’s Office for its “comprehensive review and subsequent decision to conclude this matter.” The nature of the original charges was not specified in the department’s release.
Roca reaffirmed his full support for Sgt. Weaver, who was promoted to sergeant in January 2024, calling him an officer of integrity and character. “I remain steadfast in my support of Sgt. Weaver,” Roca wrote. “We look forward to Sgt. Weaver’s return to full duty and the continuation of his service to the city.”
