AUSTIN (KXAN) – Chili fans gathered on Saturday to eat, drink, and enjoy live music in celebration of the Texas Chili Parlor’s 50th anniversary.
The party offered several types of chili, ranging from pork to beef, as well as their very own Mad Dog Margaritas and beer.
“The legacy continues,” remarked Co-owner of the Texas Chili Parlor Catherine Zublin Spangler on the event. Spangler, while beside her brother Dave Zublin, were excited by the milestone, however were candid with the sadness around the absence of their late brother and owner Scott Zublin.
“This is our brother’s restaurant. It was very important to him and we’re not going to change that,” said Dave Zublin, co-owner of the Texas Chili Parlor. “Its thriving because we have awesome regulars who like to come here … The staff is amazing, the food is great … we’re committed to keeping this place thriving.”…
