EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — The FBI in El Paso is seeking information regarding the death of a Presidio, Texas, man last summer at a bar in Mexico.
Early in the morning of July 6, 2025, Alan Valenzuela, a U.S. citizen from Presidio, was at a bar in Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico, with two American friends when a cartel-related shooting occurred outside the bar.
The men stayed inside for a short time and then went to their vehicle to drive back to the Presidio Port of Entry to return to the United States. While driving, their vehicle received gunfire which struck and killed Valenzuela who was in the backseat, the FBI said.
