IDALOU, Texas (KCBD) – Home chefs and restaurant owners competed Saturday at the Big Wick’s Carne Guisada Cook Off at the Kitalou Gin in Idalou, raising money for Idalou Meals on Wheels.
The event, now in its second year, was hosted by Big Wick’s and Raider Red Meats. Competitors submitted their best plates for a panel of celebrity judges, which included KCBD’s John Robison and Kase Wilbanks.
The cook off raised $7,211 for Meals on Wheels, surpassing the event’s $5,000 goal…
