A Texas-born stand-up comedian has moved the date of an upcoming San Antonio performance after learning that a live comedy event tied to Austin-based podcast “Kill Tony” was scheduled next door on the same night.
Cristela Alonzo, best known for creating and starring in the ABC sitcom “Cristela,” said this week that her “Midlife Mixtape Tour” stop at the Charline McCombs Empire Theatre will be pushed back from April 11 to May 9 at 7:30 p.m.
The decision came after Alonzo became aware that a “Kill Tony”-branded comedy showcase, called “Killers of Kill Tony,” would be held at the adjacent Majestic Theatre the same evening.
