BOISE, Idaho (CBS2) — The Idaho Statesman first reported that the man who hit and killed 8-year-old Mora Gerety on Harrison Blvd. in November of last year has been deported back to Honduras.
On November 13, 2025, Elvin Elgardo Ramos-Caballero was driving a pickup truck west on Ada Street in Boise’s North End. Mora was walking in the same direction. As she attempted to cross Harrison Blvd., she was struck by Ramos-Caballero’s truck as he turned right onto Harrison Blvd.
Ada County Paramedics responded, reporting that Mora had suffered life-threatening injuries and transported her to the hospital. She died later that night while in emergency surgery. Boise Police report that Ramos-Caballero remained on the scene and assisted in the investigation. Investigating officers discovered that Caballero was wanted on a federal ICE warrant, and he was subsequently handed over to federal agents…
