The girls — I mean, grills — are fighting.
On Sunday, the second-annual Sandwich Ladies Face Off will begin, pitting two prominent Pearl Street business owners against each another in a month-long competition centered on a fundamental comfort food: grilled cheese and tomato soup.
The event features Lindsay Shaw, owner of Lindsay’s Boulder Deli at 1148 Pearl St in Boulder, and Marcy Miller, who operates Organic Sandwich Company at 1500 Pearl St, Suite F, also in Boulder.
The concept, which the owners have rebranded as “coopetition,” is a direct response to the wintertime dining slump.
