Severe weather continues to impact the islands this weekend and is forecast to worsen, generating hazardous ocean conditions between the islands early next week, especially for the islands of Hawai‘i and Maui.
Young Brothers adjusted its upcoming sailing schedule as needed in anticipation of those continuing unstable — and could even be dangerous — weather and ocean conditions.
Honolulu to Hilo
Sailing: Saturday, Feb. 21
Current status: No changes
- The barge was set to depart as scheduled and estimated to arrive Monday (Feb. 23) at Port of Hilo. Young Brothers anticipates ocean conditions will create surge in the harbor. Therefore, cargo will be discharged and loadbacked as much as is safely possible, harbor conditions permitting. There are no changes to cargo acceptance Monday at Port of Hilo.
