WNC schools move to remote learning due to expected wintry weather

MITCHELL COUNTY, N.C. (FOX Carolina) – Some school systems in western North Carolina announced they will be closed due to winter weather.

Mitchell County said their schools will be closed on Monday. Students will instead have a remote learning day while staff that have availability to teach from home may do so.

All other staff may report on a Schedule 2 or take an annual leave day, the school system said…
