DUNDALK, MD—The Baltimore County Police Department’s Crash Team is investigating a Friday evening collision that claimed the life of a 78-year-old man in Dundalk.
According to police, the incident occurred on Friday, February 20, 2026, at approximately 6:40 p.m. at the intersection of Merritt Boulevard and Wise Avenue.
Incident Details
When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered the victim, identified as Mark Hoerner, pinned beneath a vehicle. Emergency responders extracted Hoerner and transported him to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.
The preliminary investigation indicates that a 2014 Toyota Prius was traveling northbound on Merritt Boulevard when it struck Hoerner.
Investigation Status
